Ask to disconnect Airtel broadband service but they asked to pay money for non Usage

Sir,

I have been using the broadband internet service from the Airtel Company for the past six years. The broadband service Number is 04549420900 .

From 28-04-2020 onwards, the broadband services disrupted. I asked the customer Care of Airtel, they sent a message ” Our Engineer will resolve your compliant. ”

I contacted the Airtel Engineer of our area (Thirumangalam-Madurai-Tamilnadu) due to this issue. He said, “Now it is impossible to resolve your issue ( Disruption of broadband service) due to Lock down of Corona Virus .

It will be resolved after the Lockdown Period”. After the Lockdown relaxation, till now the Airtel area Engineer had not resolved the compliant issue of disruption of internet service. Due to this reason, I want to disconnect the Internet Service .

Hence I registered a complaint to disconnect the Airtel Broadband services and the Airtel Nodal officer, Chennai on 1st May, 6th May and 11th May of 2020.

So, the customer care service open the service request for Disconnect the service Compliant on 22nd May 2020with the ID No:117763552. They asked to pay the bill amount Rs.653/- for the month from 6th May 2020 to 22nd May 2020.

For that period due to nonavailabiltity of Airtel Broad band service, I have not used the phone and InternetData. But for that period I paid the bill Rs.653/-on 13th May 2020 @ Airtel Store ( near Headpost office Madurai) at 11.24 A.M.

And also I asked the Airtel Store employee Whether the broad band services for (04549420900) disconnected or not. The employee told that the Your Disconnection service request is closed but the services retained with Technical Issue.

I don’t want to continue the Airtel Broadband servies. Hence I request the consumer Compliants court to take appropriate action against the Airtel Company to Disconnect the Airtel Broadband Service (04549420900) and to refund the amount Rs.653/- for the non usage of Airtel Servie (due to non availability)
