Text of Complaint by Venkatesh Ramasubramaniam:

I had ordered one ‘Playshifu’ educational globe for kids on Amazon India on the 12th September, 2022, with the intention of Gifting it to a kid on his birthday. The initial delivery was mentioned to be the same day (12th September, 2022). However it was changed later as 23rd September. Due to inordinate delay and no update from Amazon, having no use for the toy as I had to buy something else for the birthday, I contacted Amazon and informed them that they should cancel and refund the money I had paid online. Refund was promised to be initiated in 3 days time but nothing happened. I had spoken to at least 5 of the customer care executives so far but they only make false promise of refund but fail to act. I had made several calls and some of the executives even made me hold the phone line indefinitely pretending to be checking the status while they never came back to respond. It is a shame that an Internationally reputed online seller such as Amazon has an Indian operation that is so inefficient, deceitful and irresponsible. I request Amazon to resolve this long pending issue by refunding my money. I hope Amazon India does have a responsible person who can act upon this issue.
