Amazon has provided critical misleading information for a Bose Speaker as high as Rs. 24,500 and unwilling to accept the Return stating that the 7 day REPLACEMENT period had expired. The Amazon site url is https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B08SCHWG3Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
It states ‘Bose SoundLink Revolve+ Wireless Bluetooth Portable Speaker with Alexa (Black)’. The invoice also states the same. However, the product is not compatible with Alexa in India. I bought the product on Nov 22, 2021 on Amazon India, it was delivered to me on Nov 24, 2021 and I got to know of this incompatibility with Alexa on Jan 5, 2022 that’s 43 days of receiving this product. I didn’t check this functionality as it was very clearly mentioned in the Title of the product ‘with Alexa’; Bose is a standard product and most products currently from renowned brands are compatible with Alexa. On going through the reviews now there are reviews clearly stating that Alexa isn’t availabe in this product. The review is dated October 23, 2021. Also there is a response from a customer on Sep 7, 2021 responding that it doesn’t have Alexa. However, Amazon hasn’t made any changes on it’s website.
The product is sold by Appario Retail Ltd. Retail which is a subsidiary of Frontizo, a joint venture between Amazon and the Patni Group. Appario Retail is already under the scanner with Competition Commission of India (CCI) lawyer for the CCI as on March 18, 2021 told the Karnataka High Court that Amazon and Appario and Cloudtail are related, arguing that the e-commerce giant gives the “preferred sellers” priority and pushes down others in search results. Thus I imply that a misleading information by the Seller Appario Retail Ltd. Is actually misleading information provided by Amazon and it should refund me the amount of INR 24,500/- (Indian Rupees Twenty Four thousand Five hundred only) for this misleading information for such a high value and standard product despite the expiry of 7 day replacement window.
