Amazon.in not processing refund for sending a defective item (ORDER # 171-3161239-6875524)

Text of Complaint by Hemant Bhatnagar:

1. On 10th May 2023, I have purchased a Dell 27″ (68.58 cm) 2560 x 1440 Pixels QHD Monitor|2560×1440@75Hz|IPS Panel|Anti-Glare, 3H Hard Coating|16.7m Colors|2xHDMI 1.4, 1xDP 1.2, 1xAudio line Out|Adjustment-Tilt & Height|SE2723DS-Black via Order 171-3161239-6875524. It was sold by GADGETSBAY-1
2. The item was delivered to me on 16th May 2023
3. After giving the power supply to the monitor, I have found that the monitor is defective and immediately called the customer care of Amazon.in after sharing the pictures of the defective monitor. The same are uploaded here for ready reference.
4. After putting me on hold for sometime, I was assured during the call that appropriate approvals have been taken from the desired and I will receive the refund as soon as the item reaches the warehouse of Amazon.
5. A pickup was scheduled by amazon.in for 18th May 2023 but the item was not picked up and the pick up was re-scheduled for 19th May 2023.
6. On 19th May 2023, the item was picked up after thorough verification of the box.
7. On enquiry with the customer care, I was told that the item was received at the warehouse on 27th May 2023. However, the refund was not processed as there was some issue.
8. On 1st June I have received an email from [email protected] that they cannot issue a refund for the said order until they receive the correct item. Later, after some email exchanges, I came to know that a different old Scale instead of the original Dell 27 (68.58 cm) 2560 x 1440 Pixels QHD Monitor|2560×1440@75Hz|IPS Panel|Anti-Glare, 3H Hard Coating|16.7m Colors|2xHDMI 1.4, 1xDP 1.2, 1xAudio lin .. was received by them.
9. I was asked to return the corrent item so that a refund can be processed
10. I have written to them that since the item was picked up from my home, where it was delivered, after due verification it could be a possibility that the pickup person has mistakenly mixed up the order with someone else’s order. However, to no avail [email protected] repeatedly said to return the delivered item to get the refund
11. How can I return now the item when it was picked up already. I am asking [email protected] to arrange deliverying the item they have received in lieu of the sent item but seems they dont want to listen.
12. Requesting to take up this complaint and support me in resolving it
