On July 9, 2022, I placed an order on Amazon India worth Rs. 18,771 which included a 7 Step Heavy Folding Step Ladder. On 28th July, I received a call from Delhivery courier service telling me that I should pick up the package from their location. I refused to do so as they are supposed to home deliver it.
On 30th July, I saw that Amazon has updated the package as delivered, so I immediately called Amazon customer service and explained the situation to them how the courier service was refusing to deliver it to my home and instead asking me to come and pick it up from their location. The customer service agent assured me that I do not have to go and pick it up and that they would arrange for Amazon delivery to pick the package from Delhivery and personally deliver it. He asked me to wait for 24 hours.
I waited for 24 hours but it was still not delivered. I called back again and this time another agent said she is raising a complaint about it and said it will be resolved in 48 hours. Again no result after 48 hours so I called back. This is the agent said wait 72 hours. I waited again and still no resolution.
I called again and this time was told that they are sending the issue to the investigation team and that a resolution would be given by 14th August. Since no resolution came and I still had not received my package, I called back on 17th August and this time I was told that according to their investigation the package was delivered and so there is nothing that they can do about it and that I would not be given a refund or replacement.
This is outright stealing by Amazon. I paid for the item, did not receive it, and yet Amazon refuses to do anything about it.
