Text of Complaint by Sibghatallah:

Hi Team,

I want to lodge a complaint against Airtel Service Center situated at “C/o Venture Marketing, Shop No 5, Picaso Plaza, NIBM Junction, NIBM-Kondhwa Khurd, Pune – 411048, Near Jyoti Restraurant “. against an employee working there named “Dhananjay”.
This service center has caused lot of inconvenience to me and my trust on airtel services is deteriorating day by day because of these kind of Airtel centers and this is not just the problem with me, rather it’s causing inconvenience to my family members, friends and colleagues.
1. I went to the store and i wanted to transfer the ownership of my father’s Prepaid SIM on my name.
The information given by Airtel Service Center was “That i need to change my Prepaid SIM to Postpaid and wait for 3 months and only then will i be able to transfer the ownership of that SIM on my name. “
Then i called upon Customer Care Service Center and the information conveyed by them was:
“There is no need to migrate from Prepaid SIM to Postpaid. Only certain service charges will be applied and the ownership will be transferred successfully from father to son (my name).”
2. I also inquired about changing sim from Prepaid to Postpaid.
The information given by Airtel Service Center was “That i need to pay off 250 Rs for migrating from Prepaid to Postpaid SIM and the justification given for that is that they need to verify Address also which incurs the above amount”. I also stated that i have already contacted Customer Care Service Center and the info given was quite opposite. I stated that “Customer care guy told me to only pay 19 Rs” but the airtel service center guy tells me that i have to pay 250 Rs to the person who will come to visit my house for address verification, no matter if i have changed my Prepaid Sim to Postpaid SIM via My Airtel App.
The information given by Customer Care Service Center was “That i only need to pay 19 Rs which can be done via My Airtel App”.
The wrong info conveyed to me by Airtel Service guy has occurred multiple times.
3. My father accidentally recharged for Rs 499 two times consecutively.. I went to the same service center and asked “Dhananjay” about this and his reply was that my whole money has gone in vain and you need to forget about the later Rs 499 recharged.
The same thing i asked to Customer Care and they said “That the later Rs 499 recharged will be activated from 83rd day till 29th October” This i found to be a genuine information.
Also, the callous attitude displayed by the employee named “Dhananjay” made me lose interest in the service provided by him and the Airtel company altogether. This is not the first time but on multiple occasions i’m receiving cold response from his side.
I don’t understand why Airtel Service Center and the employee named “Dhananjay” is conveying such wrong information. I have my family members using Airtel Sim Card since a long time but such instances is motivating us to switch to some other service provider. In order to retain customers there should be uniformity in information conveyed, also such incompetent employee lacking significant knowledge should be given prior training.
I request you to please take necessary action as soon as possible as this Airtel Service Center ,NIBM is taking undue advantage of people.
