We are a family that conservatively uses Internet. The Airtel Broadband has been one of the worst experiences of our lives. First of all, I work for Vodafone Broadband for United Kingdom myself. To operate my tools I need a stable connection which is fast and reliable. I was using Hathaway and was personally not satisfied with them. I signed up with Airtel’s 100 MBPS Superfast plan. The Airtel worker who came to take the advance 3 months rental told us that we will get 50-60 MBPS speed which we were stoked about. Next day the engineer comes and tells us that we will get only 35-40 MBPS speed which was extremely disappointing. That too with only 150 GB of data.
I still made my peace with Airtel and started using their services. On the first day itself, the internet kept dropping out. My work was hindered. Engineer came 2 times to fix the problem.
This is not the end of the problem, after that the speed started to dip as low as 10-20 MBPS which is absolutely not acceptable. I lost wages for days I was not working due to slow internet. I contact my previous provider Hathaway and they repaired my line and I started getting the regular 50 MBPS Unlimited data that too for half the price of Airtel which also had half the speed and half the data.
I decided to apply for cancellation and instead of cancelling, they sent Engineer to my place multiple times. They changed router, they changed the line and to no avail, the speed as of latest is 27 MBPS. Totally poor experience. I still await a reply on the Email and my money has not been refunded. The guy who took the payment keeps declining my calls and his name is Gurmeet. I am going to escalate this matter further. I have paid 3,000 rupees and have no good service, my disappointment with Airtel is immeasurable.
