Text of Complaint by Vishnu Vijay:

I had submitted my details for an Airtel broadband connection 10 days back and made the payment for 6 months plan which amounts to Rs4200/-.I was told that I will be given the connection within 3 working days which never happened. I tried following up with the customer care number atleast 8 times so far and every time I get the response that it will be done the following day which never happened. Only exception to this is last Friday when the executive told me he is looking into it and he will call me back within half an hour which was very relieving for me but later I realized that half an hour was just another false promise and no one called me back .Same day evening I again called the customer care and I was given a “call back after half an hour” for the second time which again didn’t happen.

 

One executive did showed up at my door on Saturday morning to tell me that there is no “box” set up at my location and he have initiated a request to get it done but he is not sure how long that is gonna take and asked me to keep following up as it might be done within one day or may take dayssss depending on my luck.

 

In the meantime I been contacting the executive who collected my details and cash and everyday he tells me that his staff will reach me the same day or the following day or that he will call me after 10 minutes; none of which happened and I ended up showing late at my office for an entire week and still no Wi-Fi connection. Today he asks me to talk to his supervisor/manager who is in charge of my locality as he will be able to get my issue resolved asap and get the Wi-Fi connection setup. When I contacted him the response I got from him was that “ as per the records it’s given that no box is set up at your locality. I will look into it….no need to stay back at home for now…I will look into it and let you know if it’s feasible to get it setup or not”.

 

I am not really sure whether there is any point in waiting anymore as all I been getting is these kind of shabby responses and no proper deadlines or even guarantee that the connection will be set up or not. If they are not sure whether there is proper infrastructure available for the Wi-Fi connection to be provided, then what is the point in collecting the cash from the customer and keeping it with them for more than a week!!!
