I am filing this grievance regarding a last‑minute flight cancellation and non‑receipt of full refund for my air ticket.
I had booked a ticket through Goibibo on 7 April 2026 for travel on 18 April 2026 from Srinagar to New Delhi on Akasa Air– QP 1803 with PNR JF7BNR . The total amount paid was ₹6,014.
The airline cancelled the flight approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. I did not receive any prior information at least 24 hours in advance. I therefore could not make any alternate arrangements.
As per DGCA guidelines and the Passenger Charter, when a flight is cancelled by the airline, the passenger is entitled to full refund of the ticket amount, and compensation may also be applicable if timely intimation is not given, subject to conditions.
I raised a refund request through the Goibibo app. However:
The refund amount shown by Goibibo is only ₹5,014 instead of the full ₹6,014.
Till date, no refund has been credited to my original payment mode, even though more than one month has passed since the date of journey.
I have contacted both Goibibo and the airline, but the issue remains unresolved. This amounts to partial refund and undue delay, causing financial loss and mental harassment.
I therefore request DGCA / Ministry of Civil Aviation to kindly:
Direct the airline and the OTA (Goibibo) to refund the full ticket amount of ₹6,014 without any unjust deductions, to my original payment method.
Examine whether compensation is payable in this case, since the cancellation information was given only about 30 minutes before departure and no suitable alternate arrangement was offered.
Ensure that the refund is processed within the stipulated time limits as per applicable DGCA regulations.
I am attaching the following documents for your kind perusal:
E‑ticket / invoice showing payment of ₹6,014.
Proof of flight cancellation.

Copies of email / chat communication with airline and Goibibo.
I request you to kindly look into this matter and provide appropriate relief at the earliest.
