Text of Complaint by Sanju sANJEEV:

: I booked a flight from Vancouver to Kochi via Delhi and return (for 14th January 2022 and return on February 4, 2022-Reference number HRRV3, Ticket number: 0982136630774, Date of issue: 30 November 2021) via the Air India official website. I rescheduled the ticket (for 21 January 2022 and return on February 4, 2022- Reference number HRRV3, Ticket number: 0982136630774) by calling Air India customer care. travel I had to cancel the ticket due to covid and I have been told that the Ticket refund will be credited within 3 MONTHS. It’s been almost one year, and this is the 27th time I am contacting customer care or raised feedback. Every time I was told that I will be phoned back to my mobile number or mail will follow within 24 hours, nothing happened to date. On July 15th I received a mail stating the following statement:

“Dear Sir/Madam, Greetings from Air India! We thank you for your feedback. Kindly note that refund to your eticket number:2136630774 has been processed and refund amount credited to source account under tracking reference-05416342083910003074104 CAD 1,946.76 05416342083910003074104 23-Mar-22 You may like to check with your banking partner using above tracking number. Thanks for your patience and patronage Ecommerce Helpdesk Air India Ltd RS PS..ARN IS GENERATED ONLY ONCE THE AMOUNT IS CREDITED IN THE CARDHOLDERS ACCOUNT FROM WHICH THE AMOUNT WAS DEBITED.”

When contacted after that to customer service I received no answer for a refund.

Ticket 2: 0982137246296 (Original Ticket number) – Total Amount charged CAD 2,226.76 via Credit card
Haven’t received any refunds to date.

Such a bad experience with Air India. Nobody answers, no customer service personnel know about the statuses, no escalation to the issue or no support to the customer.
