Here is a case where my active home connection of Jio Fibre has been removed from the capacity-full junction Box. My connection was disrupted at around 11 am or so yesterday (08/06/2023) and immediately I raised a Service Request through Jio’s My Jio App, I was allotted SR No. SR00001LOHOQ. A visit by Service Engineer was scheduled between 7 PM and 8 PM the same evening. The Service Engineer on a visit to the site later informed me that my connection has been removed from the Junction Box and was hanging outside. There was no port available in the box and my connection cannot be restored immediately, It would take time. To my query, he further informed me that another Jio engineer had visited the same site earlier and had done it, How could an active connection be dislodged by the Service provider or its agents to accommodate a different connection? This was not a disconnection due to causes beyond the control of the ISP but one that has been done by the ISP itself against its commitment to the customer for the maintenance of continuous service. Regarding the restoration of service, I received a message earlier during the day that the engineer will visit between 1300 hrs. and 1400 hrs. today (09/06/2023) which was followed by another saying visit will be between 1400 hrs. and 1600 hrs. Lastly, they have informed the engineer’s visit has been kept on hold. I don’t know what is happening. But I feel the incident of disconnecting an active line without any intimation to the customer smacks of corruption. I would request the authorities of the ISP through you to cause an enquiry into the whole thing and restore my connection without any further delay.
