Hi Team,
I am writing in reference to the Mobile No. “9845539675”. This number suddenly stopped functioning. Now we have to activate and also need to transfer the same number, as the owner  has passed away,  to another person (Deceased father) who is the legal heir .
Original Owner: Shivashankar Tubachi
New Owner: Shivalingappa Tubachi (Deceased Father)
The store at Bellandur/ Sarjapur Road, Bangalore are not accepting the Death Certificate of Mr Shivashankar Tubachi (Original Owner)  and activating the sim and changing the ownership. I am just been told Death Certificate will be not be sufficient and we have to produce original hardcopy of dozen of documents of the deceased person including police certificate in original hardcopy. They are not accepting soft copies of the deceased person, whereas the New Owner (who is a senior cistizen with health conditions) is present at the airtel store with all of his supporting documents for transferring.  We have moved from our original place and due to corona and travelling to be avoided and parents being senior citizens we can produce original soft copy of Death Certificate for which they are demanding original hard copy.
The Store is just not resolving the matter  and the team is behaving very rude and answering that the sim ownership cannot be transferred with Death Certificate . They are sticking to the point, Death certificate is not sufficient . Please advise and request to help us in resolving this matter. its more than one month we have been struggling with Airtel. Also, the nodal officer has confirmed that Death Certifcate is sufficient, but stores are not accepting. There is disconnect between their internal members.

  1. i have a sim in my father adhar card.and now my father is dead.and also i lost my sim card. and now i want to recover the sim card and also change the ownership.But in jio service centre they said it can be possible but in jio customer care they said it doesnot possible
