Text of Complaint by Vishal Dattani:

I signed up for Airtel sometime in June or July 2018 and at that time I was told that with 499 plan I will get phone insurance with other benefits which is why I opted for the plan however when I spoke to a customer service representative and she stated that the plan does not include phone insurance. So from the time I signed up I have been paying 100 more every month due to this misinformation.
When it was confirmed by Airtel rep on June 3rd 2021 that the plan does not include Insurance I requested her to change the plan which she did however due to plan change I lost accumulated data of over 1 TB which was also confirmed by the rep on that very same call. Also, I was not informed that data will be lost and without my agreement on that the plan was changed. I highlighted this to Airtel on June 5, 2021 and have exchanged almost 20 emails however there is no resolution provided by them except updating my payment due date as requested and that too was done after 43 days of exchanging emails and all other issues are unresolved.
Sometime in mid-2019 I had called customer service to change my payment due date to keep inline with my salary however that was not done due to which i have been charged late fees and they are refusing to acknowledge the same and have stated that the late fee charges are valid.
This is extremely frustration as all I get is template reply from them and there is no understanding or consideration from customer service to even imagine what a customer must be going through. I have been requesting them to listen to the call recording of my June 3, 2021 call made to their call center however they have been giving excuses and not paying any heed to my requests.
