Vodafone have cancelled my SIM card as I did not make a 1-2 minute call within what I was told today was the required time period. They have removed the credit from my account but apparently have left me with 78p credit. Why 78p? I had had over £20 of credit on my pay as you go account. I did not regualrly make calls or send texts as I have no Vodafone signal at home ( EE has recently arrived in the area) – I used the phone when travelling. I can understand why the account has been closed if ti did not appear to be in use but I see no justifcation for removing the credit from this account without even informing me, no matter what the small print says when you open an account. Nor if Vodaphone have cancelled the SIM why are Vodafone continuing to send me regualr texts e.g.14/1/2022 , and as I was receving other occasional texts when my phone was in signal I did not think that the SIM was disconnected, Vodaphone appreared to be in regular contact with me…however this is what I was told inthe Carmarthen Vodaphone store today. I as also told tha my number would be given to someone else – surely this is not posssible, I am using it for Whatsapp. I request that the credit, previously on my account is refunded to me in full and an explanation given as to why its removal was considered to be an acceptable approach to cusotmer service. How can Vodaphone justify any right to take that money from my account? IF they wanted to close the account they could equally well return the unused CREDIT to me. Yours sincerely
