Text of Complaint by Mayank Agrawal:

I am filing this complaint against LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. / its authorised service centre at Greater Noida regarding serious deficiency in service and failure to provide satisfactory and transparent service in respect of my LG air conditioner.
The AC was covered under an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) up to February 2026 and was functioning normally during the AMC period. There was no complaint of water leakage, ice formation, gas leakage, cooling-coil leakage or any similar defect prior to the service referred to below.
After a gap of approximately six months, I got the AC serviced through LG/its authorised service personnel. Immediately following this service, the AC started developing an abnormal problem of water leakage and ice formation from the indoor unit. This problem had not existed before the service.
I accordingly lodged a complaint with LG. The technician visited the premises on two separate occasions. Despite the problem continuing, no gas leakage, cooling-coil leakage or other such major defect was informed to me during either of these visits. No such chargeable repair was proposed or communicated to me at that stage.
However, during the third visit, the technician for the first time informed me that there was allegedly a gas leakage and that the cooling coil/related component would have to be checked. I was further informed that gas would have to be refilled and that the associated expenses would be chargeable to me.
This sequence of events raises serious concerns regarding the quality and adequacy of the service provided:
The AC was functioning normally before the service.
The water/ice problem appeared only after the service.
The technician visited the premises twice after the complaint but did not identify or communicate any alleged gas leakage or cooling-coil problem.
The alleged leakage was identified only during the third visit.
I am now being asked to bear the cost of inspection/repair/gas refill for a problem which was not present before the service and which was not identified during the first two visits.
In view of the above circumstances, I have reasonable grounds to seek an investigation into whether the AC was improperly handled, damaged or otherwise interfered with during the original servicing or subsequent visits. I am not making a conclusive allegation of tampering; however, LG should explain how a major leakage allegedly existed without being detected during the service and the first two complaint visits.
I therefore request that LG be directed to:
Provide copies of the job sheets/service reports for the original service and all subsequent visits.
Provide details of the inspections and tests allegedly carried out during each visit.
Explain why the alleged leakage was not detected or communicated during the first two visits.
Conduct a proper root-cause investigation into the defect.
Establish whether any damage or mishandling occurred during servicing.
Provide the necessary repair without charging me, if the defect is found to have resulted from improper servicing or handling.
Reimburse any expenses incurred by me due to the deficient service, where applicable.
Take appropriate action against the responsible service personnel/authorised service centre if negligence or improper service is established.
Provide appropriate compensation for the inconvenience, repeated service visits and failure to resolve the complaint despite repeated opportunities.
The conduct described above amounts, in my view, to deficiency in service and failure to provide the standard of service reasonably expected from an authorised service provider. I reserve my right to approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and seek appropriate relief, including repair/replacement, reimbursement, compensation, litigation costs and any other relief available under applicable consumer-protection law.
All relevant service requests, job sheets, invoices, photographs/videos of the AC problem and communications with LG are being preserved as evidence.
I request LG to provide a written response and resolution within a reasonable period.
