Text of Complaint by Sharad:

2 months back I called Airtel call support to end my wifi connection and unlink my sim card with the wifi connection. They said that I will have to pay the amount due and only then can it be processed..I paid the amount and asked Airtel to end my wifi connection..they said okay and issue was solved. However they did not move forward with the request and again bill came for the next month..I have not used the wifi since more than two months.. I again called them and told to make sure this time to end the connection..and again paid a due amount..this time also they did not end the connection..when I called them they said that they will only be able to end the connection after payment of the bill..I even tried blocking the internet services so that I don’t get charged..but it showed a technical glitch..my Airtel sim card has also been blocked by them and if I pay only the amount due for the sim card..it won’t get unblocked .. because they are bundled together..and hence I can not port out also..this is a classic case of blackmail and when confronted to go to consumer court..they said we are only following company policy..I asked them to send the call recordings with call support ..they denied.. at this point they are adding charges and blackmailing me because my number is bundled. I don’t know how to go about it..but will surely want to file a complaint in the customer court as well as trai.
