Text of Complaint by Naveen Kumar:

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to file a formal complaint against MobiKwik regarding the imposition of wrongful penalty charges on my account. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue directly with MobiKwik, but they have failed to provide a satisfactory resolution.

I hold an account with MobiKwik, and on 07/02/2023, I had an outstanding principal amount of Rs 134 due for repayment. However, due to an unforeseen server issue on MobiKwik’s end, I was unable to make the payment on the due date, which was 20/02/2023. I made the payment promptly on the following day, 21/02/2023, as soon as their server issue was resolved.

To my surprise, MobiKwik has levied a penalty charge of Rs 2516 on the principal amount, claiming that I failed to make the payment on time. I immediately contacted MobiKwik’s customer service department to explain the situation and request a fair resolution. However, their representatives dismissed my concerns and insisted that it was not their problem, pressuring me to make the payment as per their demands.

I would like to highlight that the delay in repayment was entirely due to the technical glitch on MobiKwik’s server, which was beyond my control. I have been a loyal customer of MobiKwik , and this incident has left me feeling frustrated and unfairly treated.

I have attached the relevant documents, including payment receipts, and any other supporting evidence, which clearly demonstrate that I made the payment promptly on the next day after the due date. I believe these documents validate my claim and highlight MobiKwik’s unjust imposition of penalty charges.

Despite my repeated attempts to resolve the issue amicably with MobiKwik, they have failed to address my concerns and have shown a lack of willingness to rectify the situation. Therefore, I kindly request your intervention and assistance in resolving this matter. I seek your guidance and support to ensure that MobiKwik rectifies their error and refunds the wrongful penalty charges levied on my account.

I am prepared to provide any further information or cooperate fully during the investigation of this complaint. I trust in the competence and impartiality of the Consumer Forum in protecting consumer rights and ensuring fair practices in the marketplace.
