I had ordered a Veg Steam Darjeeling Momo at 2am approx on 7th October from Swiggy. The delivery happened in 30mins and we received a box of Non Veg Chicken Momo. We posted a complaint and call the restaurant ( Lake Market , Kolkata) from where we received it. The incharge instead of believing me told me to eat it saying that only the sticker on the box was wrong but they have packed Veg Darjeeling Steam Momos. Faith in the brand and my Love for WOW Momo made me take that bite and it ruined my faith. We are a Hindu family and despite me calling and telling the incharge that he lied to me ..he did not admit to his doing. After all this and posting it publicly the Team connected and assured a public apology. It’s been 3 days and I’m still waiting for that Apology. Big brands think they can get away with hurting public sentiment and religious beliefs. It disgusts me to say that such brands think that Law and Order is above them. Since , they don’t understand human values and they only value Money above everything and after giving them a fair chance to apologize – I now demand a cash compensation . My God will not forgive me if I don’t fight against this. After I posted this publicly I came to know I’m not the only one who has suffered. Many have. The brand has no right to play with religion and must respect.
