Hello officials
I have purchased a Woodland shoe vide HSN Code 54051000 bill number 2016339027C02544 on 30th March 2019 from their T-Nagar show room in Chennai 600017.
After my first use, I noticed that the shoe cannot be used for a longer time as it was too heavy to use. Hence, I tried to return the shoe to the seller.
I did receive a response from their customer care that they have to make the inspection of the shoe before they consider for return.
Today my wife went to the store and had a discussion with the representative Mr Siva. She was told that they cannot refund the money and cannot take it as the shoe was already used for a day. If I continue to use this shoe, I will definitely end up with so many health issues on my legs, especially on the ankles and heels.
The moment she asked the representative to put that in a statement, he verbally agreed to take that shoe back, however he cannot refund the money, instead I need to purchase the materials to match the original invoice cost.
For this purchase of shoe, I have redeemed Rs.1000/- gift voucher from State Bank of India and paid the balance amount Rs.2795/- using my bank debit card.
To my knowledge, the already redeemed gift card cost cannot be refunded back, however, I can buy any product to match this value.
But the balance of Rs.2795/- should be refundable.
Would it be possible to instruct the merchant to initiate the refund of Rs.2795 to my bank debit card and keep the option open for me to choose any product worth of Rs.1000. I am not looking for any other compensation as I have to accept the mistake of choosing the wrong product.
