Text of Complaint by Naval Bagawde:

I have been having unpleasant experiences from Whirlpool customer care support. Concern is with an unsatisfactory service along with an non acceptable product Washing machine loses it’s balance while spinning and falls over. This is a customer safety issue. My mother in law was just saved from machine falling over her leg. Wasn’t it  Whirlpool’s responsibility to address? Whirlpool customer care team has failed to take up the ownership and i am left with no choice but to approach you

This is to bring to your notice about our Whirlpool Washing Machine: Serial no. INF203138659 is facing working issue right from purchase from August 2020

I have gone through series of complaints and haven’t found a valid solution from any of the service providers I requested for a complete machine replacement because the machine loses it’s balance while spinning and falls over. This is a safety issue and hazardous to family members

Service providers gave us differential problem highlights each time for which we are completely unsatisfied and have dragged the issue till date

Service provider 1 : After examining the machine he told us that there is no issue with the machine. It’s just that he explained how to load the machine correctly. Which I found unnatural, as I have been using a washing machine since a long time and just clothes placement cannot make a machine off balance. Post this we ensured the guidelines as given on clothes placed in the machine but the problem kept occurring infrequently and the machine tumbled over again. This time was a bit dangerous as my mother, a senior citizen, was handling the machine. Disappointed, we contacted the service provider again !

Service provider 2: The service representative came over and reported a gearbox issue and suggested a spare part replacement. I would like to bring to your notice that we have been facing a bad experience not only with the machine but also the service providers

So on so forth..

I am not in favor of undergoing part replacement of a machine which has hardly been used and less than a year after sale. This clearly indicates the quality of the machine that was handed over and Whirlpool should take up the ownership of consumer benefit and replace the complete unit for us being a safety issue or at-least restart our warranty from the date of part replacement

I insisted on a new unit based on

  1. Service providers are not reliable to solutions provided giving differential problems each time they visit
  2. The issue is completely with the machine under warranty and faulty from day 1
  3. Most important Safety of family members

Awaiting for some action.
