I decided to Port my number from Vodafone to Airtel and completed the initial process on Aug 11, 2021
Aug 12 , I received a call from a guy who told that he is from Airtel and there has been multiple port requests raised under my no. and 1 of it needs to be cancelled in order to proceed further with the Port. He asked me cancel the port request by sending a message on 1900 and told me that I will get a message from Airtel 48 hrs after this and my port request will be processed.

After not receiving any communication from Airtel I felt something fishy and called Airtel to check. They informed me that there was only 1 request for Port raised at their end.
So probably the person who called was someone from Vodafone trying to Impersonate Airtel helpdesk and hinder my Portability application from Vodafone to Airtel.
