I have got my number ported from Jio to Airtel five days ago. Ever since I started using Airtel on my handset, the voice connectivity and data connection is really bad. Extremely disappointed and regretting my decision to choose Airtel.
Here are few of the concerns that I and my family members (who are also using Airtel) are facing:
1. Very poor voice connectivity : I’m constantly showing out of coverage area to the ones who are trying to contact me. My calls are constantly dropping in between and there are innumerous call failures. Ironically enough, I called the customer care twice today and even they could not hear me and the calls failed several times while taking to your executive.
2. Unable to receive OTPs on my phone: Because of bad connections, I’m unable to receive verification codes and OTPs on my phone. I’m unable to make transactions and connect to networks that require me to feed a verification code that I receive on my SMS.
3. Slow Data Connection : The connection is as slow as any 2G connection. Sometimes the internet doesn’t work at all. It is the month end, wherein the work load at my office is a lot and my wifi data has been consumed. I desperately need mobile data right now.
I hope you understand that in this pandemic situation when everyone is working from home, how important is it to have a smooth voice and internet connection. How are we supposed to contact others in case of emergency?
Despite so many calls and discussions with your customer care executives, I was told to wait till 30th August to get my problem resolved. All my family members are using Airtel and nobody is satisfied with the connectivity that Airtel offers. We were told that we could not port back to Jio because of TRAI guideliness on the restrictions imposed on portability.
