Dear Sir
I have an Airtel prepaid no. 7838019115 which is not in service since 28/10/2022 whereas it has already been recharged by Plan “truly unlimited calls” valid up to 17/07/2023. I have sought options for lodging a complaint regarding this but Airtel has smartly stopped all channels of redressal of complaints viz 198 etc. Only IVR complaint is available on 198 which has been lodged only if the SIM is in service. How can customers lodge any complaint if their no./SIM is not in service. However, I finally visited the Customer Care Service situated at Sarojininagar, New Delhi. Firstly, the behaviour of staff who attended the service was very rude and arrogant. He carelessly heard of my problem and declared that the SIM has been damaged. He explained the various reasons e.g., overheating of phone, technical problem etc. However, I am sure that my phone does not have any overheating problems. Notwithstanding, I have changed the SIM paying Rs 50/- & on the production of original valid I card. He assured me that the new SIM will be functional within 4 hours. But unfortunately, after 60 hours, the SIM is not functional. No channel is available for instant redressing of the complaint except physical visits to customer care service where an unprofessional staff is dealing with the complaint. I am very surprised that how the reputed company like Airtel can be so negligent about the rights of customers and block all the direct channels for redressing the complaint. It is requested from higher authorities that please acknowledge my complaint and redress the grievance on priority and start the services immediately. Please also intimate the reason why the new SIM has not been activated within 4 hours. Please also provide the compensation for not providing the services for 5 days.
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards
