Text of Complaint by Amit Mishra:

Dear Support Team,

I am writing to report a serious case of fraudulent activity, and employee misconduct, and request the immediate cancellation of my Personal Loan.

On 29/05/24, I was looking for a Personal Loan of Rs. 35,000 and got a call from Mahi Roy mentioning she is from IDFC First Bank. Noida branch (Sector 16, near Metro Station). However, the bank representative, Mahi Roy (phone number: 8929692572), pressured me to take a loan of Rs. 1.80 lakhs, despite my repeated requests for a smaller amount.

Ms. Roy provided false information and misled me throughout the process. She mentioned PaySense as your third-party partner and claimed the pre-approved loan offer was for Rs. 1.80 lakhs, even though I explicitly requested a much lower amount. I have recordings and screenshots of our WhatsApp conversations as evidence.

Despite my repeated objections, Ms. Roy continued to insist on the larger loan amount, claiming it was necessary for her to meet her target. She also refused to provide clear information about the loan tenure, EMI, and ROI. Also, she mentioned you will get a call from the PaySense KYC team for confirmation of your loan, and then they will disburse the amount into your account.

After receiving the loan amount of Rs. 1,76,123.40 on 30/05/24, significantly higher than what I requested, I immediately contacted Ms Roy and her manager, Mr Rahul Tomar (phone number: 8595364536). They both admitted to the deception and offered unsatisfactory solutions. Also, Ms Roy accepted she lied to me for the sake of her Target, and she signed the receipt on her own without my permission.

Mr Tomar suggested either:

Reducing the EMI amount while requiring me to pay the entire loan amount of Rs. 1.80 lakhs.
Closing the PL after I add the amount I utilized.
Neither of these solutions addresses the fraudulent activity and the significant discrepancy between the requested and received loan amount.

I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by this experience. Ms. Roy’s actions were unethical and manipulative, and Mr. Tomar’s response was inadequate. I refuse to accept any responsibility for the larger loan amount, as I was misled and pressured into taking it.

Therefore, I demand the immediate cancellation of this loan due to the following reasons:

The loan proceeded without my permission and consent.
I was not asked for confirmation before disbursing the amount.
I was misled and pressured into a larger loan amount than requested.
I WILL NOT PAY the processing fee or any interest on the loan amount. Please take the disbursed amount (Rs. 1,76,123.40) and close the loan as soon as possible.

I have attached all relevant evidence, including recordings, screenshots, and loan documentation, for your reference.

Furthermore, I would like to inform you that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) directs customers to first file complaints with the bank before escalating to them. However, if this issue is not addressed promptly and satisfactorily, I will be forced to escalate it to the Banking Ombudsman and pursue legal action.

Additionally, both Ms. Roy and Mr. Tomar are not communicating properly. Mr Tomar disconnected the call while saying “Do whatever you want,” and Ms Roy insisted on cancelling the loan amount and paying the interest before disconnecting the call. I have recordings of these conversations as well.

Thank you for your time and attention to this urgent matter. Do the needful at the earliest.
