Recently, I had received a text message on my phone stating that I am added as a reference for someone who I don’t even know.
Further, the text message stated that there was an FIR against the person and with a given name (who i don’t know) with a contact number (which i don’t recognise and have never called before).
There was a link in that text which i once opened Redirected me to a website called GALAXYCARD.in .
Then there was an option of either be added or refuse to be added as a reference.
I refused that as i don’t even know what this was about.
Moreover, I called on the customer care number mentioned on the website of the company but no one responded or received the call.
I am not aware of this company or their services, neither have i heard of them before .
I want to make sure that i do not get scammed or phished via this and want to make sure that certain action on these companies who are sending this to me without any other source of contact.
Requesting honourable Consumer Court to kindly look into this on high priority, it’s scam where luring people, there are who will get afraid once they SMS of Police FIR without any apparent reason.
