This is a serious issue.
On November 14, 2020 a lady came into my house telling she was a Tata sky agent. As it was diwali this day, she was telling me that there’s a diwali offer of Tata sky new subscribtion. She completely explained me about the offer like this:
You need to pay 2451/- and right after your activation, 999 will be returned back. Also offered with many other things along with Amazon fire stick.
She asked me for my aadhar card and pan card telling that this offer will be valid only if my aadhar card has QR code and pancard starting with letter A. Then another guy entered into my house asking if our dish was airtel or Tata sky. When asked any queries, he was diverting the topic and then was asking me to pay the money through online transaction. Then I told him that I’ll be doing this one or two days but those two people where like “no sir, the offer is only for today as it is festive offer and payment should be done today itself but activation can be done as your wish”. As they were pretending to be so professional and dignified, I believed in it and sent the money through online transaction. He gave me some fake number telling it was his number and name was KRISHNA REDDY. He asked me to send the transition ID to his whatsapp. Once it was done, he told the activation will be done as per your wish and told me to call him if I have any queries.
But right after half an hour he left the house when I called him, the number was switched off. The same thing was done to few others too in my colony. I don’t care about the money I’ve lost but this kind of frauds and fraudsters should be caught and punished. Also, Tata sky isn’t showing any interest in listening to customer’s problems and what we’ve faced in the name of Tata sky. Their reputation is gonna get ruined if this is continued. Never gonna go to the Tata sky again.
