I hold two mobile Nos. of Airtel bearing (1) 9567304900 & (2) 7259317962 These two SIMs were obtained on life time validity basis. Funnily, since yesterday, I have been receiving SMSes stating that I should recharge with at least Rs.35 or more failing which all outgoing services would be stopped for my Nos. I dialled up the No. *121*51# but the lady who responded, also stressed the same facts.
This is against the contract and this can not be done by you unilaterally. Airtel could at the most, do it for new customers but not to the existing ones with contrary terms and conditions. This is nothing but forcibly asking customers to shell off minimum certain sum to improve their Balance Sheet figures. Such unilateral decisions from such large corporates adversely affect lakh of customers who do not use mobiles frequently.
A request is made to look into the matter and cause justice to lakh of Airtel customers like me.
