Text of Complaint by Ravi Kumar Paluri:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I took Rs999 AirTel Broadband subscription for an year in Jan 2021.

My Plan details:

Broadband Id: 040101901028_ap

Relationship Number: 7040718006

Bill Number: FT2136I001519282

1 year subscription with Rs999 plan

The plan has complementary HotStar, Amazon Prime, Zee5 one year subscription offers (I attached the pamphlet from Airtel). I was told I can claim these offers from Airtel Thank you app anytime in the year. I claimed Hotstar and Amazon Prime subscriptions in Jan 2021, the day connection was activated. Now, when I want to claim zee5 subscription, Airtel Broadband sales persons are saying that the plans are revised and is no more applicable to me. I feel cheated since when I took the plan, I was promised zee5 subscription too and now they are going back on their word.

My repeated calls to Airtel Braodband sales person (Name: Naveen, Mobile: 9121267922) didn’t yield any results and I’m forced to get in touch with consumer forum and seek your help in doing the needful.

I have attached the old pamphlet wherein Airtel claimed that Rs999 is eligible for zee5 subscription also. I haven’t attached my broadband bill receipt as it has sensitive information. I can produce them as and when asked.
