On March 14, 2024, I borrowed 6000 pesos from Cash Express with a payment term of 30 days. Unfortunately, due to my financial situation at the time and I got scam of the online company, I overlooked my payment term and was overdue for almost twelve days. When I checked my balance, it had already increased to 12919 pesos. When I overdue for 3 days they addedd 20% of penalty which is really unwilling. I was willing to pay it off, but their agent was very unpleasant and unhelpful, which made me stress and afraid to answer their calls. They added high interest to my loan every day, and my balance continued to increase. I contact them through gmail and ask if I could only pay off my principle amount which is 6000 but they really push me to pay for my prolonging interest. I am really afraid and stress because of their policy and the continuing of balance everyday. I am just a student and still in a financial crisis, and I cannot afford to pay off the entire amount in one go. I would appreciate your help in closing my account. Thank you.

I borrowed php5k around March, I badly needed cash that time so I can find a new job. However, I failed to find job until June and when Im about to settle my dues, I was shocked to know that my 5k principal debt is now php29k!!! It’s a 600% interest Is this even allowed in the Philippines law? These foreign Fintech must be held liable for making Filipino more poorer.
