Hi Amazon Team,
I’m writing this email with 100% dissatisfaction.
Today it was my girl friend birthday, as a gift I have purchased iPhone 11 64GB black which was meant to be delivered by 04th June’21 by 9pm.
A delivery person called me at 01:30pm & was stating that he is near home. I mentioned that let me check if my mother is at premises to collect the delivery. Since she wasn’t at home, I asked him for an hour time to reach home from office.
I logged out because of this and I was on the way to home.
1) Delivery person was very adamant staying that he cannot wait.
2) He asked me to provide OTP when I was not at home.
3) He mentioned, you provide OTP and come near home to collect the order.
4) He stated that window is open, he will throw the parcel inside so that I can take – How bad this looks, going and checking the window and seeing what is there is what is not.
5) He claimed that Amazon do not work at evening and night time.
6) Since he knew that I wanted the handset on the same day, he said he cannot deliver it instead, he will deliver next working day.
7) He provided personal contact number, when I called his wife spoke very rude.
I said I’ll contact customer service and see what best can be done.
I spoke with customer service department and they mentioned that this will be escalated with higher authority.
I received a call at 3pm from delivery manager and stating that it will be delivered within an hour or two and new delivery person will contact me.
8) No delivery person contacted me.
9) While I tried calling 2nd time, the call was picked by delivery person son stating that father is not available.
10) While I tried to merge the call with customer service, they have disconnected my call.
11) I wanted to check where is my order – Who is the new delivery person who be reaching out to me hence I contacted the team chat option.
12) It was connected to Dipesh – I requested him to arrange a call from Manager, he confirmed that manager will call – insted it was connected to agent from customer service.
13) Then the chat was connected to Mohammad who claimed that action will be taken for Dipesh for not fulfilling customer requirements.
14) While I tried to call the delivery person, the same 1st person said that parcel it still with him. ( I got commitment from Amazon that new person will be delivering which wasn’t fulfilled).
15) He was very adamant and stated he cannot deliver it on the same day.
16) He shared details of what will be the commission he gets for each order.
17) He insulted me by stating that if I don’t get paid for this order is fine but it will be delivered tomorrow.
18) I requested him by stating why the order is important to be delivered on the same day.
19) While he was in KR Puram, he asked me to come near home to pick the item.
20) I reached home but delivery person shared his Amazon details with password to his brother.
21) His brother was very arrogant in stating that, wait I’ll go and check the order.
22) His brother provided me the order after 9:30pm with angry face – It was my order and I have all the rights to collect, he was not treating with good respect.
For all of these inconvenience caused, I’m going to raise a complaint against Amazon today.
I’ll reach out to social media expressing how disappointed I was.
To conclude, I felt Flipkart and other online channels were provided much better service than Amazon. I’ll ask all my friends, colleagues, relatives and family members to uninstall Amazon app and cancel the prime membership if they have.
With so much disappointment, I’m writing this email. I had to leave office in middle due to this behaviour from delivery team.
Not even one employee from Amazon was able to fulfill the actions.
