When i was trying to book a ticket in feb using abhibus, there appeared some offer using simplplay. I was of the opinion that it is a new payment gateway and proceeded, it asked for otp and i have entered otp that is received on my mobile. Instantly i got amessage stating an account has been opened and i can pay the amount later. When i dig deep, i learnt that it will use some cibil score and all further which i was not interested. I have immediately taken up with the customer care of simplpay for unauthorised opening of account without my consent and asked them to delete my account for which they agreed to take up with abhibus for reversal of the debited amount and confirmed deleting the account they have created. I have not travelled through the booking done as i have got their confirmation that they’ll get it from abhibus and my account deletion.
Later from two days, again they started sending me mails and messages that some 500/- odd amount is pending and asking me to pay using a link. I ahve raised my concern to the team for which they replied that the bus operator denied to pay and hence i have to pay back else they will charge penalty pf Rs.600/-
I request you to kindly take action against such applications that lure people and make them a prey of such unauthorised transactions. If they had informed in the first place itself that i have to cancel the ticket, i would have cancelled. Instead they told me that they themselves will take up with bus operator and demanding me to pay for the journey which i have not taken up.
