Text of Complaint by Ganesh:

I had converted my PostPaid Vi number to Prepaid.
During this while clearing my postpaid bill, I had paid 151 more as the store lady asked me to.
Then this got credited to my Vi Balance(ideally it should have been sent to my bank account).
Anyway, now the only plan close to 151 I could use was 179(other plans are not working for me).
So I asked Vodafone what to do.
One person said recharge of 50(you will get talk time of 39) which gets credited to Vi Balance. Then the total will be 190 and then you can recharge for 179 using USSD.
I did that and after some call, my balance got deducted again to 172.
Then I was asked to recharge for 10 again to get the balance to 179. I did that.
Now they tell me I cannot use this Vi Balance as USSD codes are not working.
In short, I am unable to use my Vi Balance. I am unable to use MY OWN MONEY.
This is a SCAM.
AT LEAST 8 different people from Vi have called me, and I had to explain the issue to EACH one of them separately. This has been so stressful I cannot explain.
My Concerns:
– Why am I not being allowed to use my own balance as I wish to?
– If USSD was not working, then why wasn’t I told in advance? I was asked to recharge 50 and 10.
– When one complaint is registered, why does a DIFFERENT person call me everytime. I need to explain the issue to EACH person again and again.
– I was told wrong ussd codes by 2-3 agents and was asked to send screenshots.
