We own Thomson 40″ B9 Pro Full HD Smart LED TV and recently started facing issues with it. I opened a complaint on Feb 16th, 2021. The technician visited and told that the motherboard is faulty and has to be replaced. Thomson sent us the wrong motherboard and had to request for the proper one again.
The technician finally came today (April 8th, 2021) with the correct motherboard and fixed the motherboard. But after fixing the board we found that the LCD display is broken. The last time the TV was even touched was when the technician worked on it during the previous visit. And he puts the blame on us saying we might have hit it and broken it sometime.
I am attaching one photo that shows how the techinican is repairing the TV.
During the earlier visit, the technician opened the TV, screen on the bottom by placing itĀ on our teapoy which has metal edges and we think that the damage was done at the same time. Please note that there is not external crack, all we see is the LCD is damaged internally. Also, the point of crack is exactly behind a screw that opens the back side of the TV (to repair the motherboard).
I called the customer care right away and she mentioned some senior customer executive will be reaching out soon. But I haven’t heard back.
We already invested money on the motherboard and I believe that the LCD crack is the result of the technician actions. So I think eitherĀ Thomson or the service center should take responsibility for this and get our TV fixed asap.
