I booked a flight on 3rd June for: 13th June, Bangalore to Jaipur. Refund amount: INR 7493.
The amount got deducted, and I received a mail stating that the booking got cancelled. I received a call immediately and the service provider stated that I will get a full refund in the next 7 working days. I waited for 7 days, and when I didn’t get the refund, I called the customer service and they aksed me to wait for a couple more days, and gave reason that the amount was transferred to the concerned airlines, and they are taking time to refund the amount. I waited 7 more days and called again, they repeated the same thing for next 1 month whenever I called. After a month, they asked me to provide my bank details and ID proof so that they can process the refund. Now, why didn’t they do it before if this is the part of refund procedure? Anyway, I followed their instructions and send that. Then they sent me an undertaking form and bank proof. I sent the required documents. I waited for one week again. When I called after a week, they asked that if I have sent the filled undertaking form, and it will take 3-5 more days. I asked the service provider to transfer the call to a senior, to which he said he is not allowed to do that! I told him if I do not get the refund in the next 5 days, I will file a complaint at the consumer forum, and he assured me that there is no need to do that. It’s been 6 months, I called them several times, and they are still asking me to wait.
It’s mentally torturing to keep calling them and requesting them to refund my own money. I don’t understand, how could it take 6 months to refund an amount when you didn’t even take 2 minutes to deduct it?
I want the refund ASAP.
