Text of Complaint by Saurabh Bhardwaj:

Even after adhering to all the requests and document submission, my wallet transactions have been blocked. I want my money out of wallet but Airtel has asked me to upgrade my account to payment’s bank only after which I would be able to take out my money.

I have been following up since Jan 8th with Airtel Social network team for my issue but I have been provided false assurances and same replies day after day. As a last step, I was told to visit nearest airtel banking point for biometric so that my account can be upgraded to airtel bank account but the person at the shop also couldn’t do anything since my wallet was blocked at the backend. All this even after submitting all the documents and also getting a confirmation from Airtel Social media team on the phone call that temporary lifting of restriction on my account has been done.

I’m very angry and upset that as a customer, I have not been able to use my own money from wallet and Airtel is blocking the usage by stating RBI guidelines and even after adhering to all their requests, my wallet still lies inactive.
