Its under TCS Corporate Mediclaim policy with Mediassist for New India Insurance company.
We have 6K per policy Holder for OPD charges.
Where I have submitted the claim of Rs 3000+ from family doctor ( BAMS ) with all supportive documents, which is rejected by Mediassist with reason,
1. ON REVIEWING THE DOCUMENTS IT IS NOTED THAT CROSSPATHY TREATMENT is done , and as per policy terms and conditions crosspathy treatment IS NOT ADMISSIBLE HENCE CLAIM stands DENIED
As per the guidelines, any AYUSH doctors are not allowed to practice allopathy treatment and similarly allopathic doctors cannot practice AYUSH treatment.
Indirectly company is not obeying State Government GR which clearly says BAMS Dr’s are allowed to prescribe Allopathy treatment / Medicines.
