Text of Complaint by Mukund Kinger:

This complaint on behalf of my father, as the connection was taken in his apartment.

We applied for a new connection because it said we would get 40 Mbps. Airtel were quick to ask for the payment and we paid. Then their technician came home and installed the connection. But the speed we were getting at that time was very less, around 15 Mbps. We then called the person who did the installation, he said that we would only get 16 Mbps in this area. We were NOT informed this before the installation and I’m very upset about this.

We had frequent problems with this connection. The speed is always around 3-4 Mbps and there are disconnections very often. Even now, as I write this, the connection is not working.

I asked for a partial refund as speed we were promised was 40 Mbps but after installation they said this area would only get 16 Mbps. But they denied saying that they mentioned upto 40 Mbps. This is robbery in broad daylight. If I wanted 16 Mbps I would’ve gone for another internet service provider which was cheaper, why would I pay 499 rs.

I need proper refund for the very less internet speed compared to the promised speed, waste of time for complaining numerous number of times and mental agony they’ve caused.
