On 5th of July 2021, I got a call from a person named Pooja, She said there is online data entry work. To startup with the procedure they wanted my Adhaar card copy to be sent to them. Within 10 minutes they have sent me an agreement with some details, they have not given me enough time to read the agreement. They have asked me to sign the agreement digitally and revert it. I have done the procedure as they mentioned. The next moment they have shared me with login id and password. And asked me to start with the work. I couldn’t complete the work because of some technical issue with my laptop. Today when I started to work in the portal, I was getting an error message “Timeout”. So I contacted them through the Whatsapp number, now they started threatening me saying that if I don’t pay the portal charge of rupee 5000 plus 900 GST, they will file a FIR with the nearby police station and I need to be in police custody for 1 day.
This is adding a lot of sheer stress and panic in me. Please do the needful.
