On 04th January’2021, I received a call from The Resume Search Company (https://theresumesearch.com/), stating that they would be providing me work of data entry and would pay me accordingly. They asked me to sign a contract on the same day, without discussing the details. They asked me to finish 600 resumes in a week, which I somehow completed. Since the time was less and the work was really hectic, I called them asking for more time. They asked me to pay INR 1160 or else I would need to Pay INR 6490 to them. I paid them the desired amount and completed the task. Now they are saying that I haven’t got the desired number of correct entries and hence I have to pay this amount. But I haven’t got any report stating that what got wrong and how many got wrong. They are cheating the students and the people by scaring them off by sending threatening messages stating that they would file a lawsuit in the Surat District Court. I am attaching the screenshots of all the texts I have received. The person calling is Advocate Dinesh from number. They are also sending threat messages and e-mails.
I would request you to kindly look into this matter and stop this fraudulent activity running in our country. There are a number of complaints on the cyber portal as well.
