I booked national travels bus from Palani to chennai on the 1st April 2023. I boarded the bus at 8.25 pm from Palani. It was a sleeper bus and I was travelling with my wife and my 4 year old son. While boarding I asked the assistant where the bus will stop for restroom and he said it will stop at Dindigul and after that wherever we want to use the restroom. I asked this Question since I’m diabetic and need to use the restroom at least 2 or 3 times and also since my wife and kid generally use the restroom before going to bed (around 9:45 pm). The bus stopped at Dindigul by around 10pm and we went to the restroom and went to sleep. At around 12:40 I wanted to use the restroom and found the bus was stopped somewhere. I immediately got up and went towards the door and the bus started moving. I told the driver I wanted to pee and he was very angry and rudely asked me what I was doing the last 15 mins when the bus was stopping. I told him I was sleeping and only now I wanted to pee. He replied asking me to go inside and come when the bus nears the toll gate. And when he found I did not go inside he stopped in a while and asked me to go pee. While I was peeing the driver started moving the bus slowly. I finished peeing and had to literally run to catch the bus. I did not argue or question the driver as the entire passengers safety was on his hands and I did not want to upset him by questioning his behaviour.
Hence I am filing this complaint after entering the bus and lying down on my seat. The mental agony I went through running behind the bus and the driver forcing me to board faster and the drivers rudeness is tormenting and i don’t think this incident will let me sleep.
I request a stern action taken against national travels for engaging such ruthless and senseless drivers.
