Text of Complaint by Kamal Kishor Sharma:

I booked a Husqvarna Svartpillion 401 from KTM Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh on 14 February 2024, after the dealership confirmed the delivery on March 8th, 2024 (Mahashivratri), On the day of delivery, the dealership asked for the full amount of the bike which is 3,50,000 INR in cash if I want the bike on the same date. When I reached the showroom and made the payment the owner of the dealership told me to take the bike with delivery challan and cash receipt for now, and he would give the RC and Insurance the next day due to closing hours delivery of the bike. The next day, when I reached out to the showroom asking for the RC and Insurance, the showroom staff told me to wait a few more days because the bike was not registered in Chhattisgarh RTO. After chasing them for the RC and Insurance for around one month, on the day of the first service the owner met me and showed me an email that mentioned that the company needed to change the tyres of the bike because of the new government law and I’ve to wait for another 10 to 15 days until the dealership will receive a new pair of tyers that has to change before registration. I refused the fact because the dealership had already sold the bike to me, and the government regulation applies on a company level, not the consumer level. After 20 days I got a call from the showroom to bring the bike for registration and insurance when I reached the service centre the owner took the bike into his custody and told me to “take the bike with new tyers or do anything you want, I’ve already many legal cases filed on me one more won’t make any change.” When I asked for the bill date and the received quotation difference amount, he refused to return the amount, and the purchase date will be the same as the registration date, not the date I purchased the bike. As the argument between us heated up, I left the bike at the service centre. After another 10 days, when the RC and Insurance are not done, and the dealership has the full amount of the bike, I’ve no option but to agree to whatever the dealership is forcing on me. Once the RC and Insurance are punched, I register the complaint with KTM India, which hasn’t been answered on this date. Bajaj Auto, the manufacturer of the bike disposing my consumer complaint saying that the bike is from another BU and KTM India is not answering the consumer complaint. A legal notice has already been sent to the dealer, but he hasn’t replied. Please let me know if you can do anything about my case.
