The company Refund policy is arbitrary. The company computer holds customers’ account purchases, yet, I was refused a refund or in-store credit for the money they know is on record.

Text of Complaint by Darlene Martinez:

Investigate the “Return” policy of Ulta Beauty for purchased items which do appear on my account record. The merchandise I tried to return and/or exchange was because the product advice by their personnel; was in fact not what the product I had purchased manufactured to do.
Sarah, apparently the lead at the time, was called to the register, because supposedly my items exceeded the company 60 day purchase. I said, so you can see on your computer that I purchased them, right? She said, yes. She then explained, she could give me a store credit/gift card for the price of the product, or it’s lowest price. I said, that’s fine, I’ll take a in-store credit. She proceeded to say, it’s ZERO no amount.
I said, what someone paid nothing for the same product I purchased. She told me she could not give me my money back nor a store credit for the amount of money I spent in their store for the merchandise I had purchased.
That is fraudulent practice, to take consumer money, have a record by their account record on file, and not give refund or in-store credit for unsatisfactory merchandise.
