Text of Complaint by Arvind Vasudevan:

Dear Sir/Madam,

We have been using tatasky for few years now. In November 2019 we had an issue with the set-top box for which we had placed a complaint. The engineer who came to fix the set-top box had given this new tatasky binge device saying that it’s free of cost for a month and if it’s not required we could contact him. In my house people don’t know how to use the device since they’re old and they called the engineer to return the device and he didn’t respond properly.

Tatasky had been charging 299 rupees per month since November 2019 till date which is 7200 rupees till date. I contacted both customer care and the nodal officer and they refused to refund this amount to us. They confirmed that they informed us about the charges. We wouldn’t have taken that device in the first place if we had known about this charges.

Now to complicate the matter further they want to charge an extra 2000 rupees in order to cancel this service since we don’t know where is device is right now. Since we never used this device we don’t know where it is.

Please let me know if a case can be files against tatasky since they didn’t communicate about the charges to us and they have been stealing 300 per month for the past 20 months and on top of that they want to charge 2000 more to cancel this service since we don’t have the device anymore.
