Hi,
Tried multiple times with Tata Sky customer support, I have called them 6 – 7 times in the last 3 days.
And I didn’t call them that many times to annoy them. Each time they gave me a resolution time and each time it’s not respected and I had to call them again. But still, there is no resolution. So I don’t have any other option other than complaining here.
Here is what I faced.
– On 13th Aug Night – I applied for a new connection. And they gave me an installation time by 14th Aug noon.
– On 14th Aug – technician called. Said that they might late, so they asked for the OTP before they even showed up to my house. I said very politely that I understand if you are late due to some reason and I am totally okay with that. But I can’t give you the OTP before installation as this is the company procedure.
The technician kept calling me, again and again, asking me the OTP. Same response from my end. In the end, he ended up getting angry and started acting very unprofessional. Said, “I am going to cancel your installation do whatever you want”.
– On 14th Aug – I called customer support explaining the situation. They said, please don’t share the OTP and promised that some technician will come within 24 hours. The resolution time was 15th Aug – 12:30 PM. They gave a regional head’s phone number also, In case anything happens.
– On 15th Aug – No one showed up. I called the regional head. He said as today is independence day so a technician will come tomorrow (16h Aug). I said okay I understand, today is a national holiday.
– On 16th Aug 10:43 – Again No one showed up. I called the regional head, he did not receive the call. So I called customer care again. They again promised a resolution within 2 hours.
– On 16th Aug 12:43 – 2 hours went by, no one called. I again contacted. They again promised the same thing (2 hours resolution).
– On 16h Aug 2:30 – This time one guy called ( seems like the same guy who asked for the OTP, not sure though). Said due to covid-19 cases in my region they will not be able to come.
When I tried to explain that there is not a single case in my 5km radius area. He didn’t even listen to me and cut the call.
– On 16th Aug (around 3:30) – I again called customer care. Same thing. Again one guy called and said the same thing (due to COVID-19..). This guy is not even listening to me, Just saying a few words and before I start replying he is disconnecting the call.
– On 16th Aug (around evening) – I again called the customer care. Told them that they can search by my pin code. There is not a single case in my village or within 5kms radius. The same reply, it’s like a computer program is replying.
– No, reply after that.
Can you even imagine this kind of unprofessional behaviour from a company like Tata?
