Dear Sneha,

My replies are given below, in the text in red colour, on the copy of your email text, since you have asked a lot of questions.

Hello Mr. Kalgaonkar,

This is in reference to your request for Split of your Tata Sky account

Kindly go through the below procedure to split your account –

Your account should be in active status. Yes, it is active.

Transferer’s account should be more than 6 months (180 days) old. It is active for more than 6 months.

Let us know whether you want to split any existing Sub ID (Revert to us with Set Top Box details) or you want a new sub ID. My existing account is multi TV having one SD recording box and one HD recording box. The details should be available in your record of my present Subscriber no. 1007 844 226. I want a new subscriber ID for the second connection so that I can make the channel selection to suit needs of each TV individually.

A new account ID will be created with the same name of your existing account from which the Set Top Box will be moved. Acceptable. In which case please retain the RMN also.

The recordings/Zeetos points if any will be lost during the transfer. Also, you will lose the offer package if activated in your account. Acceptable. I thought the recordings were stored in the set top box, physically with me.

You will also lose the Multi TV benefit. Minimum balance of Rs.150 for activation in the new account is mandatory. Minimum balance is there in my present subscriber account. I do not want Multi TV facility in my present Subscriber no. 1007 844 226. Please let me know the new Subscriber ID number so that I can deposit the required amount for activation.

Each subscriber ID must have individual dish and relocation charges are applicable (Dish 500/-+ Relocation 300/-). Acceptable. Frankly, there is no physical relocation and at present both boxes are connected to the single dish using 4 cables, two for each box. So I do not understand this individual dish requirement and the charges for the second dish. As a matter of fact you were planning to connect all customers in a society to a common dish to avoid the jumble of wires on the terrace.

Once the request is processed, we will be unable to place a request for Transfer, split or merger for 6 months. Acceptable.
