Text of Complaint by Bhagesh Nair:

I bought Tata Sky STB from one of their dealers in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai by the name M.K Network(Ph No.9967237327) on 24th February this year. I was asked to pay an upfront amount of Rs.1600 via UPI/Gpay at the time of the installation to their technician whose name is Hira Hathnore (Ph no.9004455725) which i did.(Proof Available and already sent to TATA Sky Support email – [email protected])

Installation was done properly and i recharged my account subscription plan the same day on the TATA Sky Application with Rs.1530 through netbanking, which should have lasted until November this year.(Proof Available and already sent to TATA Sky Support email – [email protected])

Everything was fine until June 17th when i received a text message from Tata Sky that my account balance is about to get exhausted. When i checked my Tata Sky App, there were three transactions on my account, one deposit and two reversals a little over Rs1000 in total missing from my account. So i called up the support and asked about the same, they said that my dealer had made the reversals without informing me or calling me up. And i was asked to call up my dealer and check about the same.

When i called up my dealer, he clearly denied and said that it must be some internal issue with Tata Sky. After several calls with absolutely incompetent support staff members, finally one of their representatives gave me the information that some random TATA Sky Dealer by the name Sandeep P(Ph No.9579735428) had called them up with reversal request on 17th June and without even talking to me(the customer) they reversed my money to this fraudulent dealer.

I have made about 10-12 calls to the support staff of TATA Sky, and all they keep saying is that i, the customer has to call up the dealer and sort it out. I am not sure which dealer are they referring to. However i tried calling the fraudulent dealer several times, but the number is never available. Now even my dealer is not receiving my calls.

I need to understand a few things:

-How can TATA Sky reverse a customers money to some random dealer as soon as they request a reversal without verifying with the customer first.

-On several calls, no customer support rep. had my dealer details and no information about the reversal, they kept repeating like morons that i have to talk to my dealer. How can TATA Sky hire such incompetent people, and even if they do, why dont they train them enough to answer basic queries.

-How can TATA Sky expect the customer to resolve an issue by calling up the dealers for their internal mismanagement and no fault of the customer. Dont they have the dealer details of each customer? If not, how the hell are they running such a massive business?

Perhaps there are loop holes in their system and some fraudulent dealers are taking advantage of them, maybe some of the internal staff members of TATA Sky are helping these fraudsters, or there is no way for them to have my account information, or for that matter any customers information.

I am tired of following up with TATA Sky since a month with no resolution. Their support staff is absolutely incompetent.

The primary reason for this complaint is down right frustration as a customer, who is being cheated by one of the most trust worthy brands in India today, and being unable to resolve it even after a month. And so that no customer in the future has to face such incompetence from a brand like TATA.

I believe i have given all the information possible, andI sincerely hope this reaches the right people and prompt resolution is sorted.
