I subscribed to TATA PLAY BINGE for a year, thinking it’s a better deal. A day after trying to make this work the TATA Technicians could not fix the problem, and the apps did not work on my TV. We then exchanged a call with a technician and he said he would fix the problem. The problem looked sorted but then when we tried again after restarting the BINGE Box the thing did not work. Once again, we called the technicians, and they asked us to the same restart, reset, and clear the cache and said it would be sorted this time. Then when that did not help, I asked the technician to connect me to the supervisor who then said they will refund the payment within 72 hours.
I later get a call from TATA SKY BINGE POLUS rep by name Priyanka who states the refund cannot be issued as this is a whole year plan and there is no refund.
I would like to know what are my options as a consumer at this point and if any TATA executives are watching this Isnt this a scam on part of TATA to provide apps that don’t work?
Also as a default should there not be 4-5 day trial period where if the services are not working the consumer should get full refund for not being able to provide a service as promised?
