Since the current set-up box I was using was not functioning properly and I decided to upgrade it. I spoke to one of the Tata Play executive who informed that I’ll need LED TV with HDMI port. I informed that one of my LED TV was under repair, so will call back once it is repaired. I also asked if there is anything else I would need to get the box upgraded. They said nothing else. Since my previous LED TV was not getting repaired, I bought the new one. Then I booked your new Tata Play Android Box. Next day, I got a call for appointment of Engineer. They informed that I’ll need the Wi-Fi connection in order to get this box working. So I requested to cancel the services as you were coming up with some or the other thing.
I called up their contact center and I was informed that I’ll get a call back. The call back which I got was the fraud call for which I lost some extra money and have filed the legal complaint too. Again, on this, their people are not clear with what should be done (mean – Cancellation process and refund of money). Whenever I’m calling for follow up, to my surprise, I get to know that the request number has been closed. How come it can be closed without my confirmation. I again have to call the contact center and repeat this. Today when I asked for escalation, the senior person came on line and said that for getting refund, there would be some deduction.
I informed her that it is your mistake then why should I bear the charges. I want full refund of my money, the set up box charges of INR 1799/- and INR 100/- for recharging the account as I wouldn’t have been able to book the box. In case, this is not done immediately now, I would like to report this to consumer court and take legal action against Tata Play Services.
