I ordered Accu-Check Guide Glucometer vide order # 406-0179972-5691544, dated 24th May 2022. The said product was delivered yesterday i.e. 29th May 2022 by Amazon. When I opened the Amazon packing, I found that the product pack was tempered/damaged including the tempered packing of the test strips. In case of a medical product delivered in tempered/damaged packaging, the foul play or damage to the product can not be ruled out plus it exposes the patient to serious bodily injury. In view of the above, I immediately contacted Amazon customer service around 11:15 a.m. and requested them to replace the product and in case replacement is not possible then return the product. The first customer service executive to whom I talked, refused to accept my request for replacement or return of product. I again spoke to the customer service executive after some time and the second executive to whom I spoke (around 12 p.m.) and he appreciated the issue and informed me that Amazon will refund the price paid. I will receive an email from Amazon in 12 hours. As I did not receive a refund confirmation email even after 24 hours, I again contacted customer service executive and informed them about non receipt of email communication regarding refund from Amazon. However, to my surprise the customer service executive conveyed that Amazon can neither replace nor accept back the product. I therefore, requested to put me in touch with their supervisor and to my surprise I got the same answer. When I requested the supervisor to check the recording of yesterday’s communication, wherein, the customer service executive conveyed that I will receive the product, the same was also not accepted. I asked for the recording of my conversations with Amazon executives then i am told that yes all conversations are recorded but it can not be shared. So, far I have not received any positive response to my above genuine request.
