Respected Sir/Madam,
My name is Ekata Halgekar. I am currently a housewife and was searching for a work-from-home job.
On 2nd February 2026, a lady named “Shruti” contacted me (from Mobile num. 7208981536, 7021947517) regarding a job opportunity. She told me about openings for Back Office, Data Entry, Document Verification, Cashier & Billing, and Email/Chat Process. She scheduled my interview on “5th February 2026 at 10:00 AM” at the following address:
**Back Office, Ghansoli Interview Branch**
Office No. 5, Sector-03, near Central Business Park, beside Axis Bank,
in front of Ghansoli Station (West).
When I reached the location, around 20–25 candidates were present. At around 11:00 AM, one person asked all candidates to switch off personal data, connect to the office Wi-Fi, and send a “Hi” message to his number 7021904959 (saved as “Back office Sir”). The WhatsApp name showed Vinayak Enterprises. He did not introduce himself or tell us his name or designation.
He shared an online aptitude test link of 49 questions, which I completed.
After the test, candidates were called one by one to small cabins upstairs where 3–4 HR ladies were sitting. I was interviewed by a lady named Pooja. She asked basic questions but did not properly listen to my answers. She was in a hurry and kept asking the next question without hearing my responses. When I told her my previous salary was ₹30,000, she immediately offered me ₹40,000 salary, 5-day working, PF, bonus, and work-from-home, without any proper evaluation.
She then said I would receive the joining letter, but first I had to pay ₹3,000 as registration/security charges, which would be refunded in the first salary.
I told her I only had ₹1,000. She insisted and asked me to arrange the remaining ₹2,000 within half an hour. I trusted her and paid the full ₹3,000.
The HR lady named Pooja asked me to make the payment of ₹3,000 by scanning a QR code shown on her WhatsApp mobile. I was not given any official company payment link or receipt beforehand.
After making the payment, when I checked the transaction details, the payment receiver name was displayed as “OM ENTERPRISES” with Paytm QR ID (paytmqr6h64s4@ptys).
This payment entity name does not match TCS, Apex Data Solutions, or Vinayak Enterprises, which clearly indicates misuse of multiple business names to cheat job seekers.
She then asked me to sign two forms:
1. Joining form
2. Receipt for ₹3,000
She hurried me while signing, without allowing me to read properly. After coming downstairs, I read the receipt and saw that it clearly stated “the money would not be refunded”.
They asked me to return on “7th February 2026” with:
* Aadhaar card
* PAN card
* Two photos
* Filled form emailed to apexdatasolutions9@gmail.com (a personal email ID, not a company domain)
At that time, I realized it was a scam. After I reached home, the HR person called me twice and repeatedly asked whether I had filled the form with my Aadhaar and PAN details and emailed it. She was insisting strongly that I send the details immediately, which further increased my suspicion about the authenticity of the job offer. I blocked her immediately, did not go back on 7th February, and did not share my Aadhaar or PAN details.
Later, when I checked the caller’s number on the Truecaller application, the name of the HR person who introduced herself as “Shruti” was displayed as “Pradnya Sharad Dhotre.” This mismatch between the claimed name and the caller identification raised further suspicion
The joining letter was just a basic form, and the company name **Apex Data Solutions** appears to be fake. There was no proper company branding, official email, or legitimate process. Around **9–10 staff members** were present, including 3-4 men and several women.
Suspicious observations:
– Staff members did not properly introduce themselves or their designations.
– The person conducting the test did not tell his name.
– Candidates were asked to switch off mobile data and connect to office Wi-Fi.
– Very high salary offered immediately without proper interview.
– Money demanded before giving the job.
– Payment taken through personal WhatsApp QR code.
– Payment receiver name OM ENTERPRISES did not match any company name given during the process.
– Multiple company names used:
– Job offered as TCS
– WhatsApp name as Vinayak Enterprises
– Joining letter as Apex Data Solutions
– Payment received by OM ENTERPRISES
– Personal Gmail ID used instead of official company email.
– Receipt mentioned non-refundable charges, which was hidden earlier.
I lost ₹3,000 in this fraud. However, my main intention in filing this complaint is to create awareness and prevent other innocent job seekers from being cheated in a similar manner.

Sincerely,
Ekata Halgekar
